OUR MODERN WORLD !

We have closed our eyes to live in illusion,
Reality of the world is killing with atom's fusion.
Advanced, we humans have over the ages,
In spite of innovations, we still listen to the sages.
Surgeons are capable to change a heart
What about the nature of greed for a start?

Relationships break at a drop of a hat,
I really don’t know from where to start.
Life has become miserable day-by-day,
Everyone struggles reaching life’s bay.
Bullets & bombs fall from politicians fart,
The world is crumbling like a jelly tart.

Childhood lost on their backs with load of books,
Parents rush every morning to earn more & more bucks.
No one really cares any more what is wrong or right,
Life is silly busy slipping fingers from morning to night.
Leaders of nations are selling nation gobbling dollars crisp,
Patriotism is preached by politicians like hot potato chips.

The poor bleed to struggle even to breed.
The rich will have no end to their greed,
Intelligence and emotions are lying out-of-gate,
Everyone is glued to TV as if it is an ‘f’ magnate.
The modern world has become full of red blood sea,
Everywhere, only killing of innocent poor one can see.

(Poet's Note: This poem was long overdue. When I chanced to see Steve Cutts' illustrations on modern world, the word flow continued to weave the reality of "Our Modern World"!)

*** The Sad Truth About Today’s World Illustrated By Steve Cutts.

Steve Cutts is an illustrator and animator from London. Faced with the choice of working at McDonalds or studying Fine Arts, he chose the later. He worked at Glueisobar as the main storyboard concept artist before making the leap to freelance work. Cutts makes videos and images that criticize modern life – he states that insanity of humanity is an endless pool of inspiration.
